WEST LAKE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION 2011 POOL RULES

POOL DATES: May 14, 2011 – September 18, 2011

POOL HOURS: 9AM – *SUNSET

ADULT SWIM: 6AM - 9AM

 

The pool is for the exclusive use of West Lake residents and their guests. Residents will be responsible for all actions and conduct of their guests, and they must accompany their guests to the pool.  Each homeowner is allowed three (3) guests.

 

*Pool hours are as follows:  Adult Swim - 6:00 am - 9:00 am  and  Family Swim - 9:00 am - Sunset.  Consistent violators of this rule will lose pool privileges for the remainder of the season. 

 

The West Lake Homeowners Association assumes no liability or risk for any bodily injuries, deaths, or loss or damage to any personal property to anyone using the pool.

Homeowners will be charged the replacement cost of any damage caused to the pool, furnishings, clubhouse building or patio area by family or guests. In the event a homeowner loses their original gate key, a $25.00 replacement fee will be charged.

No lifeguard on duty. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to enter the pool unless accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.  An adult constitutes anyone over the age of 18. Siblings/babysitters not over the age of 18 cannot bring younger children to the pool.  Anyone under the age of 18 cannot bring guests to the pool unless accompanied by an adult.

The life rings and poles are safety equipment and are not to be used as toys.

No running or rough play in the pool area, on the pool deck, or bathroom area. Bicycles, rollerblades and skateboards are prohibited from entering the fenced area.

Chairs and tables are provided by the HOA and are available on a first come, first serve basis.  Please be courteous. 

Furniture is not to be placed in the pool.  Close umbrellas before leaving the pool and return furniture to its original spot.

Personal flotation devices should not exceed the size of the user.  No large rafts are to be used. 

Proper bathing attire required. Cut-off shorts and diapers are not permitted.  In accordance with  N.C. and Wake County Board of Health Dept. Codes:  Children who are not completely potty trained are required to wear disposable swim diapers.

No water balloons or any objects that may cause problems to the pool filter or drains are permitted in pool area.

Quiet enjoyment of the pool is encouraged.  Consider using earphones when you are listening to music.

Animals are not permitted inside the pool gate.

Any person caught vandalizing the clubhouse, pool and/or pool area will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and will not only lose his/her pool/clubhouse privileges but also those of the entire family for the remainder of the summer.

If an accident occurs and someone defecates in the pool, the Wake County Board of Health requires the pool water be chemically treated for health reasons.  Remove yourself and children from the pool area, notify all others to leave the pool area and contact either  RS Fincher & Co., LLC (919-362-1460) and/or a West Lake HOA Board member to report the accident. A notice will be posted on the entrance gate to the pool “Pool Closed by order of the Wake County BOH” and will be removed once it is safe to re-enter the pool. 

Glass and ceramic containers are not permitted within the fenced pool area at any time. Beverages are allowed in cans, paper and plastic containers only. The Wake County Department of Environmental Services, Section 15, requires the pool to be closed and drained in the event of glass breaking in or around the pool area.  Failure to comply with this could cause a homeowner to lose his/her pool privileges for the season

Alcohol is allowed but may only be consumed in paper, plastic or its original aluminum containers by persons over the age of 21.  This is a family pool.  If a homeowner or guest appears to be intoxicated and/or becomes a public nuisance, they will be asked to leave the pool and may lose his/her pool privileges for the season.

Snacks are allowed in the pool area but not in the pool.  Please be courteous and clean up debris which may have fallen on the ground to avoid ant and rodent problems. 

There is no smoking in the pool area, clubhouse, bathrooms or playground.

All trash is to be placed in the trash cans provided. Please ensure lids are securely fastened.

The pool will close and the deck area is to be evacuated immediately during any emergency situation or in the event of a storm and/or thunder. Participants my re-enter the fenced area thirty (30) minutes after the last thunder is heard.

Wake County requires that the fence gate remain closed at all times. The gate should not be propped open at any time.

Please observe any additional rules that are posted by the Wake County Health Department.
